We recommend setting up a Google Flights Price Tracker for your desired travel dates. This tool notifies you when fares drop or when booking times are favorable, helping you secure the best possible rate for your trip. Here are some tips:

Choose Your Dates: Some guests may want to spend extra time exploring! Consider your travel preferences and flexibility, then decide if you’ll attend the wedding at the beginning or end of your trip.
Set Alerts: Once you’ve selected your tentative dates, set up alerts on Google Flights. You'll receive notifications when prices change, giving you a heads-up on potential savings.
Consider Nearby Airports: Major international flights land in Rome (FCO) or Naples (NAP). Naples is closest to Ischia, but flights to Rome can sometimes be more economical.
Timing Your Booking: Booking flights 3-4 months before departure typically offers the best balance of price and availability for international travel from the U.S. to Italy.

Getting To Ischia

1. From the Airport to Ferry Port:

If You're Flying into Naples (NAP): Naples International Airport is the closest airport to Ischia, making it the most convenient option. From the airport, you can take a short 20-minute Uber or taxi to Molo Beverello Ferry Port.
If You're Flying into Rome (FCO): For those arriving in Rome, the journey takes a bit longer but is straightforward. Once you land in Rome, take the Leonardo Express train from the Rome Airport (FCO) to Rome Termini Station, which takes around 30-minutes. From Rome Termini Station, you can catch a high-speed train (Frecciarossa or Italo) to Naples Centrale station, which takes around 1.5 hours. Once in Naples, Uber or taxi to Molo Beverello Ferry Port. Alternatively, you can hire a private car or shuttle service from Rome Airport to Naples Molo Beverello Port directly, which takes 2.5 hours.

2. Ferry to Ischia:
From there, you'll take a 50-minute hydrofoil ferry ride to the beautiful island of Ischia. We are exploring the possibility of securing a group discount on ferry tickets – stay tuned for more details! As soon as we have everything finalized, we’ll share the information here.

3. On-Island Transportation:
Upon arriving in Ischia, follow the signs to exit the ferry terminal, and you'll see a designated taxi stand just outside the building. Taxis are readily available here, just provide your lodging accommodation to the driver.

Please note that rideshare apps such as Uber and Lyft do not operate on the island. We will provide arranged group transportation services for all wedding-related events. For any other activities or personal travel, we recommend utilizing the taxi stands conveniently located across the island, especially near popular beaches, tourist areas, and major hotels. Accommodations

We have reserved a portion of the rooms at Il Monastero at the Aragonese Castle of Ischia for our wedding guests. As details are finalized, we’ll update this section with instructions on how to secure your room and manage payment. Please note that due to its unique layout and steep stairs, Il Monastero is unable to accommodate children.

While space is limited at Il Monastero, Ischia offers many wonderful places to stay, and we are happy to assist with recommendations for other nearby accommodations to ensure a seamless and enjoyable stay on the island.

Should you wish to explore other options, we recommend these nearby accommodations. In true Italian fashion, please note that these smaller boutique hotels do not offer room blocks, so guests are encouraged to book directly with the properties:

Hotel Miramare e Castello: A seaside boutique hotel with stunning views and luxurious amenities, located about 0.7 miles (15 minutes on foot) from Il Monastero.
Botanica Relais: Nestled in lush gardens, this hotel offers an intimate and relaxing atmosphere with modern comforts, located about 2 miles (10 minutes by car) from Il Monastero.
San Montano Resort & Spa: Known for its incredible thermal pools and sweeping views of the Gulf of Naples, located about 6 miles (25 minutes by car) from Il Monastero.

Departure From Ischia

1. Leaving Ischia:
When it's time to depart, take a taxi from your hotel to the ferry port where you booked your ferry ticket (Porto d'Ischia, Cassamicciola Terme, or Forio). Since rideshare apps such as Uber and Lyft do not operate on the island, please consider your transportation in advance to ensure a smooth journey. 2. Ferry to Naples:
We recommend arriving at the ferry port at least 45-minutes before your scheduled departure. From the Ischia ferry port, you'll take the 50-minute ferry back to the Molo Beverello Ferry Port in Naples. Remember to double-check the ferry schedule on the day of your trip, as times may change.

3. Airport or Beyond:
Once you arrive at Molo Beverello Ferry Port, you can take a 20-minute Uber or taxi ride to Naples International Airport (NAP), a 1.5-hour train ride to Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO), or continue your travels to another destination.
